Moreover, it undertakes a detailed analysis of specific poems, highlighting, for instance, the symbolism of the moon and bread, the intricate relationship between femininity and poetry, and establishing a psychoanalytic articulation that engages with both Freudian and Lacanian themes. Additionally, it explores the significance of silence in the midst of the chatter of the 21st century, emphasizing the author’s ability to navigate between the shadowy and the luminous, consistently returning with a message of hope amidst the chaotic – and often deadly – scenes of contemporary life. Through a metapoetic exercise, Roseana Murray scrutinizes her vision of both her writing process and her existence, conditioned, of course, by the inherent gesture of grappling with her place in humanity and within the human experience, leading inevitably to a profound exploration of her own finitude.
